This recording contains samples of synthesized speech - speech artifically constructed from the basic building blocks of the English language. A machine which produces synthesized speech is callled, fittingly, a talking machine.

BERLIN DADA. PART ONE: Excerpt from the film Berlin Dada by Helmut Herbst. In addition to its direct influence on 3kStatic, the 'cut and paste' ethos of Dadaism is integral in the foundation of early electronica. Bands such as Meat Beat Manifesto, Cabaret Voltaire and Throbbing Gristle in particular point to Dadaist artists as primary influences.

The latest version of 3kStatic.com is currently shadowing the existing site, and will be unveiled very soon. The 3kStatic official site will move  to a new (dedicated IP) and migrate to the Drupal 7 CMS environment. Since May 2006, 3kStatic.com has logged 3,664,899 'hits' from 201.847 unique visitors. Over 750,000 free 3kStatic MP3s have been downloaded since 2006.

The band has sold over one million paid downloads and streams since 1999.
